How does the identification process work with a Bitsafe Business account?

If you are a person related to a business and if the business applied for a Bitsafe Business Account you need to be identified. Have your identification document ready!

These are the steps:

STEP 1

If you haven't already downloaded our free Bitsafe App on your phone, please do this now. It's available for Android and iOS. It's free! 

STEP 2

Launch the App on your phone. If you are the primary user of the Business Account you already have linked the Bitsafe App to your account. Please use your 5 digit code to log in your Bitsafe App.

If you are not the primary user of the Business Account you have received a link by email. Please open your Bitsafe App and scan the QR code shown when pressing the link.

STEP 3

Now Bitsafe will verify your ID. Please press the button Verify your ID. Bitsafe supports a lot of different IDs, including passports, national ID cards and drivers licenses. To get the best results please use the ID document you use the most internationally. In most circumstances this would be your passport.

Please make sure you scan the side with all your personal information on it. 

STEP 4

After this IDScan you are asked to do a couple of selfie image instructions. These instructions may include simple tasks as "smile" or "look left". Please, make sure that there is enough light when completing these tasks.

STEP 5

You have now finished with the identification process! Our compliance staff will review your ID and the result of the selfie image instructions. You will be notified if we would need any further information from you.
